Therapy for Women

You’ve Been Trying to Name It So You Can Look It Up
You typed a word into the search bar and deleted it. Then you typed a different one and deleted that.
Anxiety came closest. It still wasn’t right.
Burnout assumes the job is going badly. The job is going fine.
What you have is one question, and it keeps coming back.
“When did I stop feeling like myself?”
Now you’ve got a row of therapist websites open. You’re trying to work out which one is meant for someone like you.
Why I Focus on Women
I built this practice around a single decision: women and only women.
Focus is the entire reason.
The reading, the training, the questions I’ve learned to ask: all of it points in one direction.
It’s also the honest answer to what I want my week to be. When the aim never moves, the work gets specific fast.

You Won’t Have to Justify the Load
Everyone else’s needs kept in your head through an entire workday.
Being the first call when something goes wrong for somebody else.
The work that holds a household together and never gets counted.
You’d normally lay that groundwork first, because otherwise the rest of it comes across as complaining. None of that needs to be established with me.
That’s where the hour starts.
Your Hour Opens Further In
You tell me how the week went. I don’t need the setup to place it. The sentence underneath the sentence reaches me sooner.
When you say the week was fine, I’ll ask which part of it you got to attend.
When you mention that you handled it, I’ll ask what handling it cost you.
What fills the time that context usually takes is what you actually think.
That’s the thing you’ve had the least practice saying out loud. Some of it comes out sideways at first. That’s expected.
Bring Your Life However It’s Arranged
I don’t work from a set of beliefs you have to share.
Women who pray about this and women who left that behind years ago both do this work with me. So do women who’d disagree with each other about nearly everything else.
None of it has to line up with mine for this to work. You get to bring your actual life, not the version that fits somebody’s model of it.
Nothing here needs to match a word you already found.
An hour where the subject is you takes some getting used to. This hour is organized around one voice, and it’s yours.
Come Without a Name for It
The practice is virtual and only in Washington State.
The hour happens wherever you are. There’s a free consultation first. We’ll talk about what’s been going on.
Bring the muddle. We can make sense of it together.
Come Home to Yourself
Rebuilding trust in yourself doesn’t happen in a single conversation, and it doesn’t ask you to become a different person.
It starts with one honest hour, with someone who’s genuinely interested in what you think.
You don’t need a diagnosis, a plan, or a tidy explanation of what’s wrong before you reach out.
This time, the person you’re consulting is you. I’m here to help you hear the answer.
Reach out today, and we’ll find a time to talk. I’d love to hear your story and help you write what comes next.
